FAQ
Baiye No. 2 is a rare pale-leaf tea cultivar used to make green tea. Its spring shoots develop a distinctive light yellow-green color and are known for a fresh, smooth and naturally sweet taste.
“Milk White Tea” refers to the pale color and delicate character of the young leaves. It is not a traditional white tea—the finished tea belongs to the green tea category.
It has a soft, clean flavor with rich umami, gentle floral notes and natural sweetness. Compared with stronger green teas, bitterness and astringency are relatively mild.
Yes. Baiye No. 2 comes from Camellia sinensis, so it naturally contains caffeine. The exact amount varies with the harvest, amount of tea used and brewing time.
Use about 3–5 g of tea with 250 ml of water at 80–85°C (176–185°F). Steep for around 1–2 minutes and adjust according to taste. Slightly cooler water helps preserve its fresh, sweet and umami-rich character.
